The award-winning Case High Drama Company put on Mean Girls: The Musical the weekend of April 13. Not only were they one of the first schools in the country to put on this blockbuster show, but they also were the first ones in the whole world to attain the rights to the musical.

Director Neil Jeronimo says that “it was a privilege to put on such an amazing show, but I am also so proud of the kids for their maturity and dedication throughout the whole rehearsal process.”

The show was filled with notable performances, especially when it came to the group dances. The show was choreographed by junior Bryant Rivera. He shares his experience saying that he is “so lucky to be given the opportunity to share (his) talents, especially in such a unique piece such as Mean Girls.”

To go along with the talented dancing, there was also outstanding vocals. Music director Kasey Jeronimo guided the cast with the challenging songs the show  requires. She  says that she is “blessed to have a strong group of kids who work hard and are constantly striving to be better.”

One of the fan favorite roles of the show was Gretchan Wieners, played by Isabel Guimar. Guimar says, “My experience with this show was amazing – everyone had each other’s backs and we all worked as one.”

Another breakout star from the show was senior Erika Baxter in the role of the main antagonist, Regina George. Baxter explained that “Regina George was my dream role, and it felt so surreal being able to perform it while also sharing the stage with my best friends.”

Mean Girls also was a special time for the seniors as  part of  the Theater Company since it was their last show. Senior Mary Arruda says, “I will always be a part of Case Theater no matter what, and Mean Girls was a special way to end such a special chapter in my life.”
